IMS Cumbria - High Build Epoxy Floor Coatings
Here at IMS Cumbria we offer a wide range of floor coatings that can transform the existing flooring in your premises into a more heavy duty surface. This results in being more cost effective in the long run as it helps to extend the lifetime of the flooring hugely.
Our floor coatings are suitable for most hard floors and used widely in industrial arenas.
Q/TECT
Q/Tect is a solvent free, high build epoxy floor coating for concrete, grano or asphalt. It has an excellent abrasion and chemical resistance, aswell as providing a heavy duty coating for floors which will withstand many years of general trolley or foot traffic, fork lift areas and depending on usage will have a greatly reduced lifespan. The high build characteristics of Q/Tect permit the application of coatings in excess of 0.25mm per coat.
Two coats of Q/tect provide a build equivalent to almost 10 coats of conventional solvent containing components. On rough and uneven concrete Q/Tect can give a smooth and easily cleanable surface. The appearence of Q/Tect provides a smooth gloss surface finish in a range of colours or clear and has excellent long term wear resistance from a two coat application. The thickness ranges from 0.4mm to 1mm depending on application rate and number of coats. Q/Tect is ideal in area requiring good wear and chemical resistance combined with economical cost. It is suitable for chemical plant storage areas, warehousing, toilets, food preparation areas etc.
Q/Grip HD
Q/Grip HD is a heavy duty solbetn free flow applied binder system designed for the incorporation of skid resitant aggregate within its surface to provide a high durability slip resistant surface for treads and walkways. It appears smooth and glossy while incorporating a skid resistant grit/aggregate, aswell as having excellent long term resistances to abrasion, impact abnd chemical spillage and normal measures 2 mm. Typical installations for Q/Grip HD include highways, for example traffic calming (speed reduction measures), bus lanes, ramps traffic segregation, pedestrian zones, cycle lanes and laybys, as well as approach areas like roundabouts, junctions and p[pedestrian crossings. Pedestrian areas such as, stairways, pedestrian bridges, railway platforms, Quayside, -waters edge, ship decks, entrances, wheelchair ramps and shopping precincts. Industrial and retail areas such as Forklift truck lanes, colour coded routes, ramps and steps, garages, workshops and all flooring. Other areas include car parks for coloured surfaces for disabled and child parking spaces, access ramps, barrier approach and pay booths. Another typical application is the leisure industry for use of cycle ways, theme parks, all weather areas and spectator sports As well as logo use for ferry terminals, pedestrian areas, airports, helipads, factories, offices, shops, race circuits and forecourts.
